In Italy 2,079 new cases and 88 deaths. 1% positivity rate

I’m 2,079 i new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday they were +2,199, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 4,239,868 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 88 (yesterday they were +77), for a total of 126,855 victims from February 2020. People recovered or discharged they are altogether 3,943,704 is 7,616 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (+8.912 yesterday). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 169.309, equal to -5.626 * compared to yesterday (-6.791 the day before), down from 6 April with the sole exception of 2 May.

The swabs and the scenario

THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 205.335, which is 13,403 less than yesterday when it was 218,738. While the rate of positivity 1% (the approximation of 0.101%): it means that out of 100 swabs performed, 1 positive result; identical to yesterday when it was 1%. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.

Less infections in 24 hours than yesterday and the case-to-test ratio remains unchanged, standing at 1%. Generally, on Thursday the curve touches the maximum point of its swing, as has always happened in recent weeks. Today this does not access: here it goes down in advance **. An unusual trend that good news. A comparison cannot be made with the same day last week because on June 3 the curve underwent a decline due to the effect of a few buffers (those analyzed on the holiday of June 2). The trend continues to be down, as evidenced by the independent monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation on the weekly data (2-8 June): -31.8% new cases compared to the week before, -30.4% deaths, -24 , 3% hospitalizations and -30.4% intensive care.

The curve of the new positives on the Civil Protection website

There Lombardy reports the highest number of new infections: +352 cases, thanks to over 35,000 swabs – the highest number of regional tests of the day – with a rate of 1% which is equal to the national one (here the bulletin). Above 200, there are only two regions: Sicily (+284 cases with 2% rate) e Campania (+209 cases with a rate of 1.6%).
