In Italy 5,901 new cases (with over 112 thousand swabs) and 41 deaths. On intensive care: +62 in 24 hours

In Italy, at least since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic 365,467 people (+ 5.901 * compared to yesterday, + 1.6%; yesterday +4,619) contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus. Of these, 36,246 died (+41, + 0.1%; yesterday +39) and 242,028 were discharged (+1,428, + 0.6%; yesterday +891). Currently the positive subjects of which there is certainty are 87,193 (+4,429, + 5.3%; yesterday +3,689); the count rises to 365,467 – as mentioned above – if there are also dead and cured people in the calculation, that is, counting all the people who have been found positive for the virus since the beginning of the epidemic.

THE tampons they were 112,544 (27,102 more than yesterday when they were 85,442). THE hospitalized patients with symptoms are 5,076 (+255, + 5.3%; yesterday +302), others 514, more serious, are in intensive care (+62, + 13.7%; yesterday +32).

While the daily cases increase – the most affected regions are Lombardy (+1.080) and Campania (+635) – with numbers approaching those of March (+5.974 on March 28), when it was registered the maximum peak of new infections in Italy (i.e. +6,557 on March 21, with far fewer tampons, stressed health facilities and 793 deaths), deaths are also growing: never so many deaths since June 20, when there were 49. In the days and months following June 20, deaths fell without ever reaching a number of 40 daily victims (yesterday they were 39). To counter the rise in the positive curve at Covid-19, the government has signed a new Dpcm with new restrictions. Here the deepening, here the full text.

The number of hospitalized patients is also increasing which are over 5,000, as on 6 June when 5,002 patients in hospital were (at that time the new cases were +270, 72 deaths and 293 total patients in intensive care). The Regions that have the most hospitalized today are Lazio (896) and Campania (694), followed by the Lombardy (546). Growing fast as well patients in intensive care: to have over 500 patients in this ward you have to go back to May 27 when they were 505, while on May 26 they were 521. Currently the Regions with the highest number of people in intensive care are: Lazio (83), Campania (62) and Lombardy (62). This is a still manageable number of patients, but which is starting to worry doctors and health personnel. Here the data on the places in intensive care, here the latest news of the day.

This is the map of the contagion in Italy, this in the world. Here the bulletins of the past few days.
