I’m 9,789 i new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday they were +15.746, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 3,779,594 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 358 (yesterday it was +331), for a total of 114,612 victims from February 2020. People recovered or discharged they are altogether 3,140,565 is 18,010 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (+15.486 yesterday). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 524.417, equal to -8.588 compared to yesterday (-80 the day before), down from 6 April. There decline in current positives today – with the minus sign in front – depends on the fact that the healed, added to the deaths, are in greater number than in the new cases.
The swabs and the scenario
THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 190,635, which is 62,465 less than yesterday when it was 253,100. While the rate of positivity 5.1% (the approximation of 5.13%): it means that out of 100 swabs performed, more than 5 were positive; yesterday it was 6.2%. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
Less infections in 24 hours than yesterday. the effect of fewer tampons, like every Monday. Today, in fact, the minimum number of tests of the week is recorded (these are the analyzes processed on Sunday). The case ratio on tampons is good, dropping to 5.1% from the previous 6.2%. Typically, this percentage tends to rise with fewer tests, but it doesn’t happen today. For example, last Monday (April 5, Easter Monday) +10,680 cases were registered with a positive rate of 10.4%. From the comparison between 5 and 12 April – the same day of the week – we see a timid improvement. The data for Monday are however not very indicative of the situation, as they are affected by the delays in loading over the weekend, as also underlined by the governor of Veneto, Luca Zaia.
The curve of the new positives on the Civil Protection website
there Campania the most affected by the number of new infections (+1,386). Above one thousand follows: Emilia Romagna (+1.151), Sicily (+1.110) with the highest number of regional tests of the day equal to 38 thousand e Lazio (+ 1.057). All the other regions report a two or three-digit increase, including Lombardy, Veneto, Piedmont, Puglia and Tuscany.
According to the WHO, cases worldwide are growing exponentially. Last week the fourth highest number of weekly cases so far in the world was recorded – says the director general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus -. Although more than 780 million vaccine doses have been administered globally. Several countries in Asia and the Middle East recorded a sharp increase. Ghebreyesus invites us not to make mistakes. Vaccines are a vital and powerful tool. But I’m not the only one. We keep repeating it.
The death toll remains high. Past deaths, not reported over the weekend, are also included in today’s data. There are four regions with zero bereavement: Molise, Valle d’Aosta and the provinces of Trento and Bolzano. To see four deadly regions, you have to go back to the start of the second wave, in October. A small sign that bodes well. The highest number of deaths in Lombardy (+62, here the bulletin), Campania (+43, of which 25 died in the last 48 hours and 18 in recent days), Puglia (+39) and Lazio (+37). Below is the detail.
