The bulletin: 1,901 new cases and 69 deaths. Incidence dropped to 0.9%

I’m 1,901 i new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday they were +2,079, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 4,241,760 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 69 (yesterday they were +88), for a total of 126,924 victims from February 2020. The swabs and the scenario

THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 217.610, or 12,275 more than yesterday when it was 205,335. While the rate of positivity 0.9% (the approximation of 0.87%): it means that out of 100 swabs performed, less than 1 positive result; yesterday and Wednesday it was 1%. Less infections in 24 hours than yesterday. As always, the swinging curve begins to drop before the weekend. The situation improves as the ISS monitoring data indicate: the incidence of cases drops to 26 per 100 thousand inhabitants, compared to 32 last week, while the Rt index is the same as seven days ago, equal to 0.68 . With the current trend at the end of June all of Italy could be in the white zone, explains Silvio Brusaferro, president of the Higher Institute of Health. Even the comparison with last Friday (June 4) – the same day of the week -, when +2,557 cases were registered with a positive rate of 1.2%, highlights a small favorable development: today in fact there are fewer new ones. infected on June 4 and with a lower percentage.

There Sicily has the highest number of new infections: here are +273 cases with a rate of 2%. Follows the Lombardy , which communicates +270 cases thanks to over 35,000 swabs – the highest number of regional tests of the day – with a rate of 0.7% which is lower than the national one (here the bulletin). All other regions are below 200 and two have a single digit increase.

The victims

Victims are decreasing: 69 people lost their lives against 88 yesterday. I’m six regions with zero bereavement – Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Basilicata, Molise, Valle d’Aosta and the Provinces of Trento and Bolzano – while the highest number of deaths in Lazio (+12) and Campania (+11, of which 3 died in the last 48 hours and 8 previously but registered yesterday). The health system

The reduction in hospitalizations continues, both in critical and non-critical areas. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m -277 (yesterday -229), for a total of 3,876 hospitalized. THE beds occupied in intensive care (ICU) I’m -29 – this is the balance between the people who left and those who entered IT – (yesterday -35), bringing the total of more seriously ill to 597, with 21 new entries in resuscitation (yesterday +30).

* The reduction of current positives – with the minus sign in front – it depends on the fact that the recovered, added to the deaths, are in greater number than in the new cases.

** The Emilia Romagna region announces that from the total of positives declared in the previous days, 3 cases have been eliminated, positive for antigen test but not confirmed by molecular swab. Furthermore, due to transmission error, the data on the total number of antigenic swabs communicated yesterday (10/06/2021) has been corrected, which appears to be corrected at 1,547,397 (-17,215 antigenic tests).

*** The Abruzzo region announces that from the total of positives, declared in the previous days, 6 cases have been eliminated (5 as duplicates and 1 case as already reported by another region), it is also communicated that the current number of healed includes cases not previously communicated by the ASLs relating to the period April 2021 – May 2021.

**** The Public Administration of Bolzano announces that among the 10 new cases confirmed by molecular tests, 2 derive from antigenic tests subsequently confirmed by PCR.

The Puglia region announces that some cases confirmed by antigen tests having been subsequently confirmed by molecular tests have been reclassified among the latter.
