The bulletin 951 new cases and 30 deaths. 0.5% positivity rate. Only 4 ICU admissions

I’m 951 i new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday they were +835, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 4,255,434 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 30 (yesterday there were 31), for a total of 127,352 victims from February 2020. People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4,059,463 is 5,455 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (4,692 yesterday). The positive current – subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 68,619, equal to -4.345 * compared to yesterday (-3,889 the day before).

The swabs and the scenario

THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 198,031, or 5,149 more than yesterday when it was 192,882. While the rate of positivity 0.5% (the approximation of 0.48%); yesterday it was 0.4%, still below 1% since June 15. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.

More infections in 24 hours than yesterday, in the face of multiple tampons, however below the threshold of one thousand for the fourth consecutive day. The swinging curve flattens out on low numbers and this is good news, especially considering today we should be at the weekly peak of cases. Last Wednesday (June 16) – the same day of the week – +1,400 cases were recorded with a positive rate of 0.7% and the improvement is evident from today’s comparison: there are fewer new infections than June 16 with a percentage inferior.

Globally, the number of new cases and deaths continues to decline. According to the WHO, the lowest incidence since February 2021 was reached in the last week (14-20 June): -6% infected people in the world (equal to over 2.5 million) compared to the week before and -12% deaths (over 64 thousand). According to the ECDC, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, the Delta variant will account for 90% of all SARS-CoV-2 viruses circulating in the European Union by the end of August.

For the third day in a row there Sicily to have the highest number of new positives and also the highest number of victims for the second consecutive day: here, there are +158 cases with a 1.3% rate and 6 deaths. Above 100 cases, only two regions follow: Lombardy (+131 cases with a 0.4% rate, here the bulletin) e Campania (+110 cases with 0.7% rate). It should be noted Molise and Valle d’Aosta which communicate respectively two and a new infected.

The victims

There are 30 victims, compared to 31 the day before. Five regions with zero bereavement, to which we must add the provinces of Trento and Bolzano: these are Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont (here the bulletin), Basilicata, Molise and Valle d’Aosta. While the highest number of deaths in Sicily (+6), Tuscany (+4) and Lombardy (+3). Campania announces that the two deaths reported in today’s bulletin did not occur in the last 48 hours, but in the previous days. Below the details of all the regions.

The decline in hospitalizations continues, in critical and non-critical areas. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m -149 (yesterday -101), for a total of 2,140 hospitalized.
