I’m 15,479 new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday they were +13.762, here the bulletin). Salt so at least 2,780,882 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 348 (yesterday they were +347), for a total of 95,235 victims from February 2020. While the people recovered or discharged I’m 2.303.199 overall: 17.175 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (+17,771 yesterday). He positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 382.448, equal to -2.053 compared to yesterday (-4.363 the day before). There decline in current positives today – with the minus sign in front – depends on the fact that the healed, added to the deaths, are in greater number than in the new cases.
The swabs and the scenario
THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 297.128, or 8,670 more than yesterday when it was 288,458. The rate of positivity 5.2% (the approximation of 5.20%): it means that out of 100 swabs performed more than 5 were positive; yesterday it was 4.8%. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
More infections in 24 hours than yesterday, compared to over 8 thousand more tampons. And so the case / test ratio rises to 5.2% from 4.8% the day before. Last Friday, +13,908 cases were reported with a positive rate of 4.8% and from today’s comparison there is no improvement. Gianni Rezza, general director of Prevention of the Ministry of Health, speaks of a stationary phase with a slight increase, explaining that if the value of Rt rises, then the cases also rise, consequently there is a countertrend. As evidenced by the latest ISS monitoring which highlights a gradual increase in epidemiological evolution with the national Rt index growing to 0.99 (here the report), from 0.95 the previous week. In Italy there is a slight regrowth in progress, but we are in a fairly favorable position compared to the incidence of other countries. However, the epidemic is subject to waves and therefore we must always have great attention, says Silvio Brusaferro, the president of the Higher Institute of Health, presenting the monitoring. The good news is the reduction in the incidence among the over 80 – underlines Brusaferro – and this is a first important signal that shows us the importance of adhering to the vaccination campaign in an active way. It has indeed a reflection on the incidence.
To register over 3 thousand new infections there Lombardy (to be precise +3,724 cases), but thanks to almost 52 thousand swabs that the maximum number of regional tests of the day. Above one thousand are: Emilia Romagna (+1.821), Campania (+1.616) and Piedmont (+1.307). All other regions have a two- or three-digit increment, except the Aosta Valley marking +8 infected in 24 hours.
The health system
Ordinary hospitalizations have been decreasing for two days and those in intensive care have been increasing. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m -132 (yesterday -311), for a total of 17,831 hospitalized. THE beds occupied in intensive care (ICU) I’m +14 (yesterday +2), bringing the total of more seriously ill to 2.059. The variation in the number of beds occupied, in the critical and non-critical areas, indicates the balance between the patients who left and those who entered in the last 24 hours: it does not mean that there are no new patients hospitalized. In fact, i new additions to TI I’m +151 (yesterday +177).
The data on the vaccinated
THE citizens vaccinated I’m over 3.3 million those who received the first dose and more than 1.3 million who took the booster. Here the map updated every evening and here the real-time data of the anti Covid-19 vaccines report on the government website.
Here all the bulletins from 29 February. Here the latest news of the day.
