The Food and Drug Administration refers 5 facilities to the Ministry of Interior for non-compliance with Corona precautions

The Food and Drug General Authority has referred a number of establishments under its supervision to the Ministry of Interior due to non-compliance with precautionary measures and preventive measures to prevent the outbreak of the new Corona virus (Covid 19).

She explained that the inspection visits carried out on the facilities under its control resulted in controlling violations related to precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in a factory and four warehouses in Jeddah Governorate, which included not measuring the temperature of employees and customers upon entering the facility, not using masks, and not securing sterilizers in the places designated for them. .

It indicated that it referred the monitored violations to the Ministry of Interior to apply the statutory provisions and penalties against violators of the preventive measures and measures to confront the Corona pandemic.

It is noteworthy that the Food and Drug Authority has previously issued a guideline that includes preventive requirements that help food, feed, medicinal, cosmetic and medical equipment facilities in limiting the outbreak of the new Corona virus (Covid 19).

The guide contains a number of conditions and requirements that complement and complement the approved Saudi technical regulations and specifications directed to these establishments, in addition to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, as well as the requirements for cleaning and sterilization, utensils and tools used in preparing food and workers in the facilities, the importance of washing hands in the best way, and an explanation of the procedures for dealing and responding to an injury Coronavirus workers, in addition to steps to isolate sick employees.

This comes in implementation of the directives and recommendations of the committee concerned with following up on developments in the health situation of the Coronavirus to take all necessary precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in the Kingdom, and to assure all parties to verify compliance with the preventive and precautionary measures and protocols adopted in all facilities and places under their supervision and to control violations.
