Three new “red micro zones” in Basilicata

The cases of Covid in the world are over 161 million according to data released by Johns Hopkins University, while the confirmed deaths exceed 3.3 million since the beginning of the pandemic. And in Italy the latest toll, relative to Saturday 15 May, of 6,659 new cases and 136 deaths (here the bulletin with the data and the bulletins that show the situation since the beginning of the pandemic: here those of 2021, here those of 2020). The Covid-19 situation in Italy and in the world

9.53 am – Loud music and abusive parties, 46 penalties in Rome
46 people were sanctioned during the night in Rome by the police for violating the regulations on the containment of the Covid-19 epidemic. Thirty of them were on Via di Settebagni, near the Grande Raccordo Anulare, with loud music. Of these, 3 were also denounced on the loose and in various ways for drug possession and resistance to public officials. The police officers also intervened in a holiday home in via Principe Eugenio, in the Vittorio Emanuele area, where 5 young people were found. The fine was also issued for them. The same fate befell 9 boys who were in a private house in via Costantino Corvisieri, near Corso Trieste.

9.30 – In Basilicata 3 new red areas
The president of the Basilicata Region, Vito Bardi, signed an ordinance which provides for the red zone in the municipalities of Anzi, Pietrapertosa and Rivello (province of Potenza) from May 16 to May 23. Furthermore, the red zone has been confirmed for the municipalities of Acerenza and Ripacandida (Province of Potenza) and Rotondella (Province of Matera), again until 23 May.
